What are Turrets?[edit]

Turrets are weapons that can be "manned" by a player and aimed in any direction to be fired. There are 4 types of turrets, each doing different things. The turrets are: Regular Turrets, Support Turrets (or sturrets), Anti-Personnel Turrets (or apturrets), and Linked Turrets. Regular turrets fire fireballs, Support Turrets fire splash potions that are put into their dispenser block, and AP Turrets fire arrows that deal damage to players. Linked Turrets act like Regular Turrets but have a special function- they can be linked together in networks to fire at the same time. Unlike Regular, Support, and Anti-Personnel turrets, when you fire one linked turret on your ship, all other linked turrets in the same network will also fire. There are 5 different networks of linked turrets- ([linkedturreta], [linkedturretb], [linkedturretc], [linkedturretd], and [linkedturrete]).

Building Turrets[edit]

To make a turret, build the blocks in the correct positions and right click the sign; this "creates" the turret. Refer to the pictures below for exact details on how to build all 4 types of turrets. All the turrets have the same top and middle blocks, but the bottom block is changed on the Support Turret. Regular Turrets, Support Turrets, and Anti-Personnel Turrets all use 1 Combat Module slot each; also they are the exception to the ship module rule, because they aren’t required to be on a piloted ship for them to be used. This means you can also use them at your base for example. On the other hand, Linked Turrets use 3 Combat Module slots each, and are required to be on a piloted ship to be used. Linked turrets are designed to help larger ships make up for their lack of agility.

Using Turrets[edit]

All turrets require you to be holding a clock in order for you to use them. To enter or "man" a turret, right click the sign with the clock. To exit a turret, right click with a clock while manning the turret. To fire a turret, left click with the clock while manning the turret.

Linked Turrets[edit]

  • 1 Mechanical Block (Sponge)
  • 1 Glass
  • 1 Wool
  • 1 Sign

Build the Linked Turret just like the Regular Turret, but instead of of a sign that says [turret] make a sign that says one of the following: [linkedturreta] [linkedturretb] [linkedturretc] [linkedturretd] [linkedturrete] Remember that there are these 5 networks of Linked Turrets that you can have on a ship, and when you fire one all of the Linked Turrets in the same network will fire too.
